Recruitment of different positions under World Bank assisted Rural Water Supply & Sanitation Project Neer Nirmal Pariyojana, under PHED, Assam

Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Assam with assistance from the World Bank is currently engaged in implementation and sustainable Maintenance of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in seven districts of Jorhat, Kamrup (M), Hailakandi, Bongaigaon, Sivsagar, Sonitpur and Morigaon, Assam. Applications to fill up various vacant positions, in prescribed format as per Annexure-A along with all relevant self-attested testimonials are invited from eligible candidates for the under noted contractual positions so as to reach this office latest by 15th July 2017. Qualification & Experience:

1. MCOM/MBA (Finance)/CA/ICWA or equivalent

2. Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Budgeting, Accounting, financial management for large scale programmes/projects etc

3. Experience of working in Government programmes or externally aided projects preferred.

4. Must be computer literate, knowledge of tally software will be an added advantage

5. The exceptional degree of integrity, judgment, and tact in handling the most sensitive, diverse and confidential material.

6. Strong communication skills in English, Hindi and Local Language.

Remuneration (Max) (The Scale of Pay):

Rs. 5.04 lakh per annum

Name of the Post/ Positions: Sanitation Specialist

Qualification & Experience:

1. Master degree in engineering, social science, environmental science, water, and sanitation, or a related field;

2. 3 years of professional development experience in the WASH sector, and significant project management experience;

3. Experience in implementing, designing, or coordinating WASH in rural community;

4. Familiarity with community-based sanitation programs, and with a diversity of latrine designs for rural communities;

5. Knowledge of SLWM technology options and experience in implementing SLWM activities in rural areas

6. The exceptional degree of integrity, judgment, and tact in handling the most sensitive, diverse and confidential material.

7. Fluency in English, Hindi and local language is necessary and desirable;

8. Willing to travel extensively in rural areas

Remuneration (Max) (The Scale of Pay):

Rs. 5.04 lakh per annum

Qualification & Experience:

1. Graduate in Commerce from a recognized Institute

2. Minimum 2 years of relevant post qualification experience in budgeting, financial management, accounts, and audit

3. Candidates working in similar capacity in Government projects/PSU/Externally aided projects will be given preference

4. The experience of working with Tally software.

5. Sound knowledge of Government Accounting, Income Tax, VAT and other Taxation matters.

6. The exceptional degree of integrity, judgment, and tact in handling the most sensitive, diverse and confidential material.

7. Must be computer literate and should have knowledge MS-Office, the Internet, e-mail etc.

8. Strong communication skills in English, Hindi and Local Language.

Remuneration (Max) (The Scale of Pay):

Rs. 20,000-25,000 (Inclusive of all incentives)

Remuneration (Max) (The Scale of Pay):

Rs. 10,000 per month

Total on of Vacancy/ Positions: 12 (Twelve)

Selection Process: The remuneration for the above-mentioned posts will be subject to negotiations, performance, skill, and delivery. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/written test. The candidates are requested to attend the interview/written test at their own cost. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for appearing in the interview/written test.
