    Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Recruitment 2017 – 40 Assistant Engineer Posts:

    Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has advertised a notification for the recruitment of 40 Assistant Engineer (Civil) vacancies under Water Resource Dep’t. Eligible candidates can apply through prescribed application format on or before 01-07-2017 during office hours.
    Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated below and carrying usual allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

    Vacancy Details: APSC Recruitment 2017

    Name of the Post: Assistant Engineer (Civil) under Water Resource Department.

    Total No. of Posts: 40

    The Scale of Pay: Rs. 12000/- to Rs. 40000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt.

    Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be in between 21 years to 43 years as on 01-01-2017. Age relaxation is 5 years in the case of SC/ ST/ PWD candidates and 2 years for Ex-Serviceman candidates as per rules.

    Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent from any Institute recognized by AICTE.

    Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on applicant’s performance in screening test / Viva-voce interview.



    WRITTEN TEST / INTERVIEW: APSC Recruitment 2017
    If the number of applications received is large, the
    I. The Commission may short-list the number of candidates either on the basis of their marks obtained in the qualifying academic examination required for the post in terms of advertisement.
    OR
    (II) By holding Screening test (Multiple choice objective type is written examination) which will be notified in due course.
    The list of candidates whose applications are found valid or rejected after scrutiny will be made available in the Assam Public Service Commission’s website (www.apsc.nic.in) showing grounds of rejections in due course.

    How to Apply: APSC Recruitment 2017
    A. The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC.
    B. The application form may be obtained by downloading the same from the APSC’s website www.apsc.nic.in.
    C. The last date of receiving duly filled up the application form in the Commission’s office is fixed on 01/07/2017 during office hours.
    D. Applications (including applications received through the post) received after the last date fixed for receipt shall not be entertained.
    E. Only applications which are signed by the candidates and accompanied by all particulars as called for in the application form prescribed by the Commission only shall be considered and candidates fulfilling all the terms of the advertisement of the respective posts shall be called for a Screening test / Viva-voce interview where necessary as decided by the Commission.
    F. (I) All candidates, whether in Government Service or in Government owned undertaking or other similar organizations/Corporations/Boards/ or in private employment may intimate their controlling authority instead of routing it through the same. However, the fact of the intimation may be apprised to the Commission by the candidate.
    (ii) The Commission shall in no way be responsible in the event of any candidate after the appointment is not released by the concerned authority to enable him/her to join the new post.

    HOW TO FILL UP THE FORM: APSC Recruitment 2017
    A. Applicants must affix 1 (One) copy of the recent photograph on the space provided in the application form firmly with good quality glue/adhesive and also should enclose another copy along with the application. The photograph must be signed prominently. The Commission shall not be responsible for detachment/ loss of the photograph.
    B. Since the practice of furnishing attested copies of certificates/mark sheets etc. by competent authority has been discontinued by the Govt., the applicant shall furnish copies of certificate/mark sheet etc. declared by himself/herself as certified to be a true copy of the original along with the application.
    C. In the case of detection of any false declaration/statement made by any applicant, his/her application will be rejected and will also be penalized as per Rules/Law. Self-attested photocopies of Certificate / Mark Sheet from HSLC onwards and also Caste Certificate / Registration Certificate / Experience Certificate (where necessary) should be furnished invariably and should be tagged properly without any chance of getting lost during transit. The Commission will not be responsible for any such loss due to improper tagging.
    D. Incomplete application in terms of the Advertisement will be summarily rejected. No documents will be entertained after the last date of submission of application.

    HOW TO APPLY (INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES):
    1. The Candidates should carefully go through the terms and conditions of the advertisement, particularly (I) Educational qualification (II) Age limit and (III) Experience where experience is necessary.
    2. Only those candidates who fulfill all the terms and conditions of the advertisement in respect of the post for which they are applicants shall be entertained. Others need not apply.
    3. An Amount of Examination fees if specifically asked in the Advertisement shall be deposited by the candidate through treasury challan only.
    4. (I) All candidates whether in Government Service or in Government owned undertaking or other similar organizations/Corporations/Boards/Bodies or in private employments may submit their application directly to the Commission subject to fulfilling the condition laid down in the advertisement. If any such candidate forwards his/her application through his/her Controlling Officer/Employer, he/she should ensure that the application reaches the Assam Public Service Commission within the closing date, failing which it is liable to be rejected even if it had been submitted to the Controlling Officer/Employer before the closing date.
    (II) The Commission shall in no way be responsible in the event of any candidate after the appointment is not released by the concerned authority to enable him/her to join the new post.
    5. Any candidate in service of the State Govt. of Assam claiming age relaxation in terms of the Personnel (B) Department. OM bearing No. ABP.513/79/9 dated 27.3.1980 and No. ABP.73/89/17 dated 04.01.1992 must submit the recommendation to the Commission within one month from the last date fixed for submission of the form. However, they must submit their duly filled application within the time specified. Any recommendation received after the aforesaid day shall not be entertained and the application shall be rejected.
    6. Applications must be accompanied by self-attested copies of the under-mentioned documents, which should be tagged well without any chance of getting lost in transit.
    Applications which are not accompanied by anyone of the under mentioned documents will not be entertained.
    (I) Copies of all educational certificates and Mark sheets from Matric/HSLC onwards.
    (II) Age proof Certificate issued by the respective Board/University.
    (III) Experience Certificates (where necessary) indicating the period of Service/Experience with dates.
    (IV) Copy/Copies of original Treasury Challan as proof of depositing examination fees wherever necessary as per terms of the advertisement containing details of the post applied for.
    (V) All documents/certificates and other testimonials must be attested by the candidates with his/her own signature.
    7. The candidates shall have to produce identity proof like Pan Card, Driving License, current ID card issued by educational Institutions, Voter ID Card at the time of Written Test and Viva-Voce Interview.
    8. The candidates should visit the Commission’s website www.apsc.nic.in off and on. If the Commission decides to hold written/screening test, the syllabus will be uploaded only on the APSC website.
    9. The eligible candidates shall have to download the attendance certificates/call letters from the APSC website.
