Gauhati High Court Opening New Vacancy 2017 - for Members of Foreigners Tribunal Post: 

Applications are hereby called from experienced advocates as per prescribed format enclosed herewith as Annexure - A, for preparing a panel of 35 (28+7 anticipated vacancy) candidates, for appointment as Members of Foreigners Tribunal of Assam on the contract basis, on contractual basis, The Number of vacancies may increase of decrease in near future.

Name of Post: Member

Total No. of Vacancy: 28+7= 35 (Thirty-Five)

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 45 years as on 01-06-2017.

The Scale of Pay: As per Govt. rule.

Qualification of the Candidate:

1. Should be a citizen of India

2. Any practicing Advocate who has completed 45 years of age as on 1.06.2017 and 10 years of legal practice can apply for the post.

3. The candidates will have to have the fair knowledge of the official language of Assam and its (Assam) historical background giving rise to foreigner's issues.

Selection Process: Selection process will be notified in due course

How to Apply:

The application is first required to go to the website www.ghconline.gov.in, download and take a printout of the "Advertisement & Application Form". Applicants are advised to go through the advertisement carefully before filling up the form.

Eligible candidates may send their application in prescribed format along with four copies of recent passport size photographs, relevant certificates, in an envelope must be super scribed as “Application for the Post of Member, Foreigners Tribunal” to the Joint Registrar (Recruitment), Gauhati High Court, 1at floor, Old Block, Gauhati, Pin – 781001 or can drop the Application form in the drop box labeled as “Drop Box of Application for the Post of Member, Foreigners Tribunal, Assam kept in recruitment cell of the Gauhati High Court, Old Block at 1st floor on or before 07-07-2017.

Terms and Conditions:

1.  The pay and allowance to the Members will be regulated as per Government decision

2. If any Candidate is found canvassing directly or indirectly, his/her candidature will be rejected.
