Tezpur University Requirement 2017 - Research Associate & Field Assistants Posts Walk in Interview:

Tezpur University is looking for suitable persons for the following positions under the Centre for Endangered Languages (CFEL) on contract basis as per the following details. These posts are purely temporary under a scheme of the University Grants Commission entitled Establishment of Centers for Endangered Languages in Central Universities and the appointment will be valid up to 31.03.2018 or till the scheme continues, whichever is earlier.

Details of Post:

1. Name of Post: Field Assistants

No. of Posts: 01 (One)

The scale of Pay (Salary): Rs. 30,000/- PM; (Fixed)

Essential Qualification:

1) M.A. in Linguistics 1 Anthropology 1 English with 'Linguistics' specialization.

2) Ph.D. in Linguistics.

3) Ph.D. 111 any of the following areas of

Specialization:

(A) Maintenance and Revitalization of Endangered Languages,

(B) Field Linguistics,

(C) Sociolinguistics,

(D) Lexicography,

(E) Functional Linguistics

Desirable: Having worked on languages of Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam. Native speakers of indigenous languages of Assam and Nagaland will be preferred.

2. Name of Post: Research Associate

No. of Posts: 03 (Three)

The scale of Pay (Salary): Rs. 18,000/- PM; (Fixed)

Essential Qualification:

M.A. in Linguistics 1 Anthropology 1 English with 'Linguistics' specialization

Desirable: Having worked' on languages of Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam. Native speakers of indigenous languages of Assam and Nagaland will be preferred.

Note:

1. Candidates who do not register his 1 her name by 23/06/2017 shall not be interviewed. Eligible candidates so registered shall appear before the concerned Selection Committee as per the above schedule with all testimonials in origin. The candidates will also be required to submit a signed copy of the detailed Bio-Data/CV as stated above and a set of self-attested photocopies of all the supporting documents at the time of interview.

2. If a large number of candidates register for the interview by the last date as stated above, then candidates short-listed on the basis of academic qualifications and experience, if any, will be called for the interview through e-mail (latest by 24.06.2017). A notice for such applicants shall also be uploaded on the University website by 24.06.2017, In absence of such a notice, all candidates who register their names by 23.06.2017 may appear for the walk-in-interview on the scheduled date and time.

3. No TA/DA will be admissible.
