    National Institute of Technology Meghalaya Recruitment 2017 Adjunct Faculty Positions: 

    The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya invites applications in Prescribed Format from Indian Nationals for appointment as Adjunct Faculty in various Departments of the Institute. Interested persons may submit their applications to reach the Registrar (I/C), NIT Meghalaya on or before 13th July 2017.
    Reputed scientists, engineers, academicians, scholars, practitioners, policymakers, physicians, advocates, artists, civil servants, bankers and other professionals, both serving and retired can be inducted as Adjunct Faculty from outside the Institute. Adjunct Faculty is expected to bring reputation to the Institute, add valuable expertise and practical knowledge and complement the knowledge pool of the existing faculty.

    Honorarium (Scale of Pay):

    Adjunct Faculty based in Shillong: will be paid an honorarium of ` 1,500/- (Rupees One thousand five hundred) only per hour of class or equivalent subject to a maximum of `5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand) only per day for the days he/she takes part in academic activities of the Institute, subject to a ceiling of ` 1,20,000/- (Rupees One lakh twenty thousand) only per month.
    NIT Meghalaya will arrange for transportation, if required, for pick-up and drop on days when the Adjunct Faculty is required to be present at the Institute.
    Adjunct Faculty from outside Shillong: will be paid travel assistance from her/his place of stay and back and NIT Meghalaya will also arrange for her/his accommodation, maximum 6 times per academic year.
    An honorarium of ` 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand) only per day will be paid for the days she/he takes part in academic activities of the Institute, excluding the days of travel, subject to a ceiling of ` 1,20,000/- (Rupees One lakh twenty thousand) only per month.

    Duration of Appointment:

    It shall vary from one semester to six semesters (3 years) as may be decided by the Institute.


    How to apply:

    A. Interested candidates may send their applications in prescribed format, available on the Institute website www.nitm.ac.in along with copies of supporting documents in sealed envelopes to the “Registrar (I/C), NIT Meghalaya, Bijni Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong-793003” on or before 13th July 2017.
    B. Applications may also be sent by email along with scanned copies of supporting documents to registrar@nitm.ac.in.
    C. The envelope containing the application should be superscripted with OR the subject of the email should be “Application For Post of Adjunct Faculty in Department of”

    General information:

    1.     The applicants should furnish details of all the qualifications and relevant experience along with self-attested photocopies of certificates, details of funded research projects, industry collaboration, membership of professional bodies, etc.
    2.     Application not in the prescribed format, incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant certificates/ supporting documents/ photograph will be summarily rejected.
    3.     The number of candidates to be appointed may vary depending upon the Departmental requirements.
    4.     The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof.
