Note: The appointment for the Post of against Lien Vacancy of Assistant Professor for the Dept. of Assamese will be made up to 31-5-2018 and for the Department of Economics up to 28-02-2018 or rejoin by the employees in his/her parent post whichever is earlier and during service period pension, retirement & others benefit will not be entitled.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

1) Details of Qualification and Experience for Assistant Professor:

(I) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with required specialization at Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(II) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

(III) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) of above, candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

(IV) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters programs in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Note: (a) The API score for the Post of Associate Professor/Assistant Professor will be done as per the UGC Regulations of 2nd Amendment-2013 (13th June’2013) and 3rd Amendment-2016 ( 4th May’2016).

Pay Band and Academic Grade Pay:

(I) Assistant Professor – PB 3 Rs. 15,600/ – 39,100/- & AGP – Rs. 6,000/-

Application Fee: Candidates will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1,000.00 (in the case of ST/SC Rs. 500.00) as an application fee for the post by Demand Draft in favor of The Registrar, Bodoland University payable at SBI, North Kokrajhar Branch (Code – 7379), Kokrajhar.

Age Limit: Not above 43 years of age as on 19-7-2017 as per Govt. OM No. ABP/06/2016/04, Dtd. 03-03-2016 (upper age is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC candidates)

Last Date: Completed application in the prescribed form along with all necessary enclosures and testimonials must reach: The Registrar, Bodoland University, P.O. Rangalikhata (Debargaon), Dist. Kokrajhar (Assam), PIN-783370, latest by 19-7-2017 up to 3.00 P.M. along with self-address (Rs. 5.00) stamp envelope. Those who are willing to apply for more than one post, they must submit the separate application form with separate application fees. The name of the post and department must be written on the envelope of the application.
